Aterna.net 8.60
Real Map 8.60 Slow-rates Server A true gamers utopia
Aterna ?? the server you can rely on. Always.
Here at Aterna??s headquarters we believe in always helping our players, and it is something we have and will always strive to continue improving. The one thing all players wanted in common was: Stability. To be able to play without fear for their character, which we here at Aterna keep as our daily creed, utilizing daily back-ups and a no-reset policy*.
Aterna has been under development and has been rigorously tested for stability issues and exploits. Although we have not completely finished balancing the vocations, we have brought several new spells into the mix, such as the new spell for druids, ??Life Drain? ?? damaging the monster over time and healing your nearby allies for the damage that you deal. This adds a new level of depth to longer quests, dungeons and in some cases, PvP combat.
We??ve also decided to include the well-known addon bonus system, further encouraging our players to invest time in attaining the perfect outfit. Along with it we also included a real guild war system.

Our Hardware
Since we wanted to bring you the greatest performance humanly possible, we teamed up with our dear friends at PClab.se to make sure we got the latest and the greatest. That is how we could get server hardware worth more than $2000 for a fraction of the cost.
Processor: Intel i7, 2.67 Ghz, 8 cores.
HDD: 128 GB SSD, 480 MB/s, Accesstime 0.2 n/s.
RAM: 12 GB DDR3
Connection: 100 Mbit/s
Our server is currently located in Sundbyberg, Sweden.
Our rates are highly tuned to bring everyone a great experience, from the mighty knight to the mysterious sorcerer. From the recluse hiding in a cave to the social piranha, we??ve got it all.
Aterna takes a somewhat unorthodox approach to the experience rates; we disable experience loss and gain once a player reaches level 300. Once you reach level 300, you are immune to experience loss ?? except from players.
The way is works is, we use the standard rules for all players that are not level 300, but once you reach level 300, you can no longer gain experience from killing monsters ?? but you can no longer loose experience from dying either.
But of course, there is an exception to the rule. Should you die by the hand of another player, normal rules apply. You will loose experience. That is to say, should Player A die by Monster A, then no experience loss will occur. Should Player A die by Player B however, experience will be lost.
This had to be done to keep a penalty for dying in PvP combat.
Experience Stages:
1-50 - 17x
51-101 - 15x
101-150 - 13x
151-180 - 11x
181-200 - 9x
201-250 - 7x
251-275 - 5x
276-300 - 3x
